No link between heart disease and e-cigarettes

In a report presented at the European Society of Cardiology in Munich in August 2012 researchers from Athens shown that there is absolutely no connection between using electronic cigarettes and hearth disease.

According to one of the researchers, Konstantinos Farsalinos, “currently available data suggests that electronic cigarettes are far less harmful and substituting tobacco with electronic cigarettes may be beneficial to health”.

Due to massive health benefits over standard tobacco products, sales of electronic cigarettes in 2012 are expected to double over 2011 worldwide. Looks like the world is on a health spree.

Nicotine from electronic cigarettes is absorbed by the body far slower than that from standard cigarettes. This amounts to lower overall levels of toxicity within the blood. This constitutes a far more balanced daily intake of nicotine thus reducing any side-effects that users may experience while still maintaining a solid nicotine kick.

It is estimated that there is already about 2.5 million users of electronic cigarettes in the United States. Comparatively there is around half a million users in the UK and growing.
